The IT4Innovation Quantum Computing Lab has prepared a series of five seminars on quantum computing under the auspices of the National Centre of Competence for HPC.
This third seminar in the Quantum Computing series will be dedicated to the topic “Solving Optimisation Problems Using the NISQ Era Quantum Computers” and will be held in a hybrid format – online and face-to-face in the IT4Innovations training room.
This talk will address one of the possible future practical applications of quantum computers – solving optimization problems. The most promising algorithm in this area appears to be the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA), which will be the main focus of this talk.
