On Thursday, 10 April 2025, the second Czech-German business meeting took place in Ostrava. It was dedicated to the topic of “Transformation of industry through intelligent production and energy solutions.” The meeting was held in the spirit of technological innovation and international cooperation. It brought together representatives of companies, research institutions, and industrial partners from the Czech Republic and Germany.
Tomáš Karásek, Head of the National Competence Centre in High-Performance Computing and Head of the Parallel Algorithms Research Lab at IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center, gave a presentation titled “Digital Tools, AI, and High-Performance Computing are Changing the Rules in Optimising Hydrogen Production, Transmission, and Storage”.
The presentation also included an introduction to the REFRESH and ZEUS projects, which, among other things, focus on hydrogen technology research using advanced digital methods and computationally intensive simulations.
In addition to the technical part, the event also featured meet-up points of industrial companies focused on putting state-of-the-art technologies into practice. The whole meeting underlined the importance of Czech-German cooperation in the field of innovation and digital transformation of industry.
