Each year, the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) launches a call for proposals to acquire computational resources on nine supercomputers from the European network of pre-exascale and petascale systems. Industrial companies, as well as other companies and start-ups, public institutions, and academics, can submit their projects.
A total of 34 application deadlines have been published for 2025 in 5 different thematic calls.

1. BENCHMARK ACCESS MODE
A fast type of access to supercomputing systems that allows you to test or benchmark applications, perform code scalability tests, and test Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. The application approval process is performed continuously.
Users will receive a limited amount of HPC resources.
The maximum allocation period is three months.
Project submission deadlines for 2025:
Every first day of the month until 10.00 am.

2. DEVELOPMENT ACCESS MODE
HPC application developers and researchers can request a small amount of computing time to develop their own code and familiarise themselves with currently available technology. This call enables the development, testing, and optimisation of applications, codes, and algorithms, as well as the development of artificial intelligence application methods.
The maximum allocation period is three months.

Every first day of the month until 10.00 am.

3. AI AND DATA-INTENSIVE APPLICATIONS ACCESS MODE
This is a call for those who need access to HPC resources to advance their work in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-intensive applications.
It supports the development of ethical artificial intelligence, machine learning (ML), and data-intensive applications in general, with a particular focus on basic models and generative AI.

4. REGULAR ACCESS MODE
It allocates resources of petascale or pre-exascale supercomputing systems. It offers three distinct application areas: industrial and corporate projects, public administration, and scientists.
