On 10 April 2025, we had the honour to be partners of the Green Light Startup Show at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO), where our centre and the European Digital Innovation Hub Ostrava (EDIH) shared our experience and showed how supercomputers and digitalisation can support innovation and the development of startups.
This event was an excellent opportunity for us and young innovators and startups changing the world. In addition to presenting the possibilities of using supercomputers in various fields, we had the pleasure of meeting entrepreneurs keen on coming up with unusual and sometimes controversial ideas.
We were introduced to some of the most promising projects created within the startup accelerator programme during the event. They included:
- IdentiLink – A secure system for schools to digitise access, attendance, and catering, replacing outdated plastic cards.
- NaraVet – A web application connecting vets with pet owners to simplify administration and improve communication.
- MAJO GREEN – Innovative green shading elements for exteriors that cool the space, improve air quality, and contribute to visual aesthetics.
- Delta Innovations – Development of innovative supplements for the body and mind that promote energy, regeneration, and overall vitality.
- Tichá toaleta (Silent Toilet) – A revolutionary solution for ensuring privacy in homes, offices, and public spaces by eliminating unpleasant sounds.
- CalciTrace – A tool for tracking and analysing health data, aimed at prevention and lifestyle improvement.
These meetings and projects demonstrated the enormous potential of supercomputing and digitalisation in supporting innovation and startups. We are delighted that we could participate in this inspiring event and look forward to working with these talented entrepreneurs in the future.
